Finding an ocean view room in Busan that doesn’t require a Haeundae budget is harder than it sounds. Most of the well-known options cluster around Haeundae and Gwangalli, where the views are great and the prices reflect that. Yeongdo — the island district across the harbour — has the same water, less crowds, and a fraction of the foot traffic. Grazie Hotel Busan Yeongdo sits right at Hari Harbour, high enough that the sea fills the window from the bed.
I booked a one-night stay to work quietly and catch the hydrangea season near Taejongsa. I ended up staying in the room longer than I expected — not because there was nothing to do outside, but because the view from the terrace made it easy to just sit there.

Grazie Hotel Busan Yeongdo is a residence-style hotel at Hari Harbour, Yeongdo-gu, Busan, with ocean views across all rooms and full kitchen facilities.

Room Rates
The front desk rates break down into two broad categories:
| Room Category | Weekday (Mon–Fri) | Saturday |
|---|---|---|
| City Harbor (Twin / Double) | KRW 200,000–230,000 (approx. USD 133–153) | KRW 260,000–290,000 (approx. USD 173–193) |
| Ocean View (Double / Twin) | KRW 210,000–260,000 (approx. USD 140–173) | KRW 270,000–320,000 (approx. USD 180–213) |
Full room type details (Cabin B, C, A, S, V) are available at the front desk. Additional charges apply for overtime, extra guests, linen damage, and smoking.
Worth knowing: Booking through the link below, weekday rates for ocean view rooms have come in at KRW 80,000–100,000 (approx. USD 53–67) — significantly below the front desk rates above. I booked this way myself.

The Room — Ocean View Double
The room is a compact studio layout, which worked well for one person and would be fine for two. The important thing is that it doesn’t feel like a box — the windows are large and the view is what fills the space.
I was assigned an end room, which meant ocean views in two directions: through the bedroom window toward the headboard, and from the terrace. Having the sea visible from bed rather than just from a designated lookout window makes a meaningful difference.

The terrace has a bar-height counter running along the railing — the kind of setup where you can sit with a laptop during the day or a beer in the evening and just look at the water. I used both options.
The room includes a smart TV on the wall (Netflix works), separate remote controls for the TV, blinds, and air conditioning, and enough storage space that unpacking properly is actually worth doing.
The bathroom is clean and functional — a shower booth setup, not a full tub, but well-maintained to the point of feeling new. Amenities include shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand wash, hair dryer, towels, and extra toilet paper.
Note on personal items: This is a residence-type hotel, so toothbrush and toothpaste are not provided as standard. The hotel runs a review event where guests can choose between an amenity set or a small gift (I chose the chocolate). Bring your own toothbrush.

The Kitchen
The kitchen is properly equipped for actual cooking rather than just making coffee. Induction cooktop, microwave, kettle, crockery and utensils, a washing machine under the sink, and a large fridge with a proper freezer section. The fridge performance is noticeably good — the complimentary bottled water was cold enough without needing ice.
For a short stay this means easy breakfasts and late-night snacks without going out. For a longer stay, it means the hotel covers everything without going out.

The Value Case
Ocean view hotels in Haeundae and Gwangalli at this room quality level typically run KRW 200,000+ (approx. USD 133+) per night on weekdays. Hari Harbour is quieter — significantly so — and the water views hold up well depending on the floor and room placement. The weekday booking rate through the link below brings this into a different price category entirely.
If you’re in Busan for more than two nights and want to spend at least one of them properly looking at the sea, this is the calculation worth running.

What’s Nearby
Taejongsa Temple is about 1.1 km from the hotel — roughly 15 minutes on foot. It’s a small Buddhist temple inside Taejongdae Resort Park with a garden cultivated by the head monk over 40 years, and in summer the hydrangeas make it one of the better natural spots near Busan. Full guide to Taejongsa Temple here

Ganggangyi Art Village takes about 30 minutes by bus and on foot, but it’s worth planning around rather than stumbling into. The waterfront neighbourhood has murals, narrow alleys, and harbour views that turn every corner into a photo. Full guide to Ganggangyi Art Village here
Lyrical Hotel is also in Hari Harbour, a few minutes from Grazie. It’s a different kind of stay — no ocean view, but a private cinema room, a bathtub, and a reflection notebook that guests leave notes in. Worth knowing about if the Grazie is full or if you want something more atmosphere-focused and less view-focused. Lyrical Hotel Busan Yeongdo review here
Final Thoughts
This hotel works best for people who want a proper ocean view without the Haeundae pricing or crowds, and who appreciate having a full kitchen and terrace for downtime between going out. The room is compact but the view is not, and the weekday booking rate makes the value case clear.
If you’re planning time in Yeongdo — Taejongsa, Ganggangyi, just the general pace of Hari Harbour — Grazie Hotel Busan Yeongdo is a natural base for it.
